It appears Apple’s rumored push into the smart home will include an Apple smart security camera. Supply-chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports the company is planning to start production of a smart home IP camera in 2026 and aims to sell over 10 million units a year.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest prediction says the Cupertino company is working on an entirely new product: a smart home IP (Internet Protocol) camera. According to Kuo’s post on Medium, the device will go into mass production in 2026.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple will make “its first foray into the smart home IP camera market” with a new device launching in 2026. It would represent Apple’s first standalone camera since 2003’s iSight camera and its first smart home device.
