In anticipation of a family-friendly box office smash, Mattel and others have produced a lot of merchandise for the film. The porn-linking toys were singing Glinda and Elphaba dolls. Retailers such as Target and Walmart have already delisted the toy from their online databases, but pictures of them still exist on eBay.

Mattel has some wicked problems after a packaging error occurred with the upcoming movie's collectible dolls. "Wicked" dolls manufactured by Mattel misprinted the promotional movie website wickedmovie.

Toymaker Mattel intended to refer consumers to the “Wicked” movie’s landing page. The “misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children,” it said.

Toy giant Mattel is now grappling with just that kind of jaw-dropping misstep, after packaging for new dolls inspired by the film version of Wicked directed customers to a porn site instead of the movie’s landing page.
